Manchester Arena reports of an ‘explosions’ at Ariana Grande concert

There is a major emergency services response to an incident at Manchester’s biggest concert venue Two explosions where are heard at Manchester Arena at the end of Ariana Grande concert in Manchester Manchester’s Metrolink service has been partially suspended as a result of the ‘police incident’. Victoria Station is very close to Manchester Arena and is the main tram stop for those leaving the area. Police and paramedics have responded after reports of several ‘explosions’ at Manchester Arena tonight. Witnesses report a ‘stampede’ as people fled the venue at the end of a performance by Ariana Grande, screaming and in tears. Pictures and video from the scene show a major response from the emergency services. Police have confirmed that they responding to reports of an incident at Manchester Arena. Please stay away from the area. Some witnesses report paramedics treating people who are injured – but this has yet to be confirmed. There were claims of at least two ‘loud bangs’ at the venue in the city centre which has a capacity of 21,000. Police vans outside the evacuated Victoria station. Police have closed Station Approach. Ambulances and police vehicles are outside Victoria. The GMP helicopter is circling above the Manchester Arena after reports of explosion at Ariana Grande gig. Roads surrounding the area have been closed and reports are that many people ran to a nearby hotel. Manchester Police have released the following: Emergency services are currently responding to reports of an explosion at Manchester Arena. There are a number of confirmed fatalities and others injured. Please AVOID the area as first responders work tirelessly at the scene.
