Woman attacked and assaulted in Oxford.

Thames Valley Police is releasing a CCTV image of a man whom officers would like to speak to in connection with an incident in which a woman was assaulted in Oxford. At 7.30am on Friday 27 July a man entered the Co-op store in Littlemore Road. He took items from a shelf and attempted to leave the store without paying. When he was challenged by a female member of staff, he pushed her out of the way. She was not injured during the incident. No items were stolen. Investigating officer PC Charles Smith, of Oxford Investigation Hub, said: “We are investigating the assault of a woman. As part of our ongoing enquiries, I would like to speak to the person shown in the image, as he may have important information about the incident. “If you have any information which could assist police, please come forward.” If you have any information about the incident, please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting the reference ‘43180225008’ or contact us online https:///www.thamesvalley.police.uk/.
