Emergency crews called to incident at Pokesdown station

Emergency services are dealing with an incident between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst. The Dorset air ambulance has landed near to Pocksdown station All lines have been blocked. Train services running through these stations may be be cancelled, delayed or revised. South West trains say that they are expecting disruption until at least 2pm. A man has been airlifted to hospital following the incident at the railway station. Power to the tracks had to be turned. Off after the man was found on the tracks near to the station. Police have not revealed if the man had been struck by a train. Network response teams from Network railway who manage the tracks and overhead signal and equipment were called along with Police and Paramedics. Many were stuck on trains whilst the power was switched off for a short time.
