Chatham Drug Dealer Busted with £4,000 Worth of Crack and Heroin

Quick Police Action Nets Major Drug Haul

Police in Chatham smashed a suspected drug deal on Monday, 11 November 2019. Officers on patrol spotted suspicious activity on Ordnance Street. A man fled the scene on his bike but was quickly chased and stopped near New Road.

Officers then searched the area, uncovering crack cocaine and heroin with a street value of up to £4,000. They also seized 10 bags of cannabis, two phones, and cash.

Daniel Edwards Faces Multiple Charges

Following their investigation, police arrested 25-year-old Daniel Edwards, formerly of Dock Road. He’s charged with:

  • Possession with intent to supply class A drugs (crack cocaine and heroin)
  • Possession with intent to supply cannabis
  • Possession of criminal property

Remanded in Custody Ahead of Crown Court Hearing

Edwards appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 12 September 2019 and was remanded in custody. He is set to face Maidstone Crown Court on 10 December 2019.
