Tragic crash kills teen Nathan Cartwright

Teenager Nathan Cartwright, 18, died after a horror crash near Standhills Road on Tuesday night (13 October). He was one of five in a yellow Skoda that smashed into trouble around 8.50pm.

Nathan was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but sadly passed away on Saturday.

Heartbreaking tribute from mum

Today, Nathan’s mum paid a touching tribute: “My gorgeous boy Nath taken way too soon. You lived your short life to the full. You are at peace now.”

She added her thanks to emergency crews and the QE Hospital for their efforts: “Thank you for saving his life long enough to say goodbye.”
