Prison Parcel Smash-Up Triggers Police Sting
Just after 1pm on Sunday, December 6, 2020, prison guards spotted parcels being lobbed into the exercise yard. Officers sprang into action, keeping watch for an hour before tailing a suspicious blue Ford Fiesta with three dark-clad occupants.
Three Arrested Over Drugs Drop at Prison
Police nabbed two men, aged 29 and 21, and a 22-year-old woman on suspicion of possession and illegal delivery of controlled substances. All three remain in custody for questioning.
Class B Drugs Seized
Officers recovered a stash of class B drugs from the prison grounds and the car, now undergoing further analysis. Inspector Simon Edwards of GMP’s Salford division praised the swift work, calling it, “shrewd and astute policing” that swiftly brought the suspects to justice.
