Shooting Shocker in Plumstead: Man Arrested and Sent Back to Jail

A man has been arrested and kicked back behind bars after a shooting rocked Plumstead on Friday afternoon. Armed police swarmed Lakedale Road shortly after 1pm on June 14, responding to reports of gunfire firing off in the area.

Damaged Vehicle Found at Scene, No Victims Yet

While no injuries have been confirmed, officers discovered a vehicle damaged by the gunshots. The blast left a trail of havoc, but thankfully no casualties have surfaced so far.

Twenty-Something Man in Custody and Recalled to Prison

A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the shooting. Authorities also revealed he has been recalled to prison, underscoring the seriousness of the incident.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Information

“Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a shooting in Plumstead. Police were called at about 13:07hrs on Friday, 14 June to reports of a firearm discharge in the vicinity of Lakedale Road, SE18. Officers, including armed officers, attended the scene. No victims have been identified. Initial enquiries led to the recovery of a vehicle that had sustained damage as a result of a firearm discharge. One man aged in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident. He was recalled to prison.” – Metropolitan Police spokesperson
