Bus Horror in Mile End: Armed Police Swarm After Hostage Stabbing
Chaos on Mile End Road
Armed police and sniffer dogs were scrambled to Mile End Road outside the underground station at around 1am on Wednesday. A bus driver, shaken and desperate, hit his panic button after a man took control of the vehicle and stabbed two passengers onboard.
Mile End Road was slammed shut in both directions as officers sealed off the area, turning it into a huge crime scene. The entire zone remains in lockdown as investigations continue.
Passengers Stabbed, One Fighting for Life
The driver revealed the brutal attack left two people stabbed multiple times. One victim is reportedly fighting for their life. First officers on the scene gave immediate first aid while paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated several stab victims.
‘Spirit of London’ Bus Turned Crime Scene
The bus involved, the N25 ‘Spirit of London’ – named in memory of the 7/7 terror attack victims – is now a grim crime scene. Inside, first aid kits and blue gloves litter the floor alongside two large blood pools near the door seats.
British Transport Police, Met officers, and dog units worked swiftly at the scene. Police have been approached for comment as the investigation unfolds.
