The victim, a 50-year-old woman, had briefly parked in a private car park to grab items from her garden when Bert suddenly turned violent. He launched a sustained attack, leaving her with serious facial injuries.

Arrested at Airport Trying to Flee to Spain

Bert was caught red-handed at Heathrow Airport as he tried to hop on a plane bound for Spain. He was arrested on the spot and later convicted at Lewes Crown Court on March 3.

He’s now behind bars for 64 months after being found guilty of two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent.
