Teen Arrested Over Daylight Groping Spree in Bracknell
A 13-year-old boy is in police custody tonight after being arrested at his home in Bracknell, Berkshire. The youngster is suspected of ambushing three victims in broad daylight.
Three Victims, Three Attacks in Broad Daylight
The boy faces allegations of groping a teenage girl and two women in their twenties on July 5 and 6. The attacks all took place around South Hill Park in Bracknell.
Thames Valley Police confirmed the arrest late this evening. A spokesman said: “Following an investigation, a boy has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. At this time, the 13-year-old from Bracknell remains in police custody.”
Details of Disturbing Attacks
- Tuesday, 10:50 pm: A woman in her twenties was touched inappropriately over her clothing in South Hill Park.
- Wednesday, 7:30 am: A male cyclist touched another woman in her twenties inappropriately on a footpath behind South Hill Park towards the Village Hotel.
- Wednesday, 8:20 am: A teenage girl was groped over her clothing in South Hill Park by the same suspect.
The suspect has been described as a white boy.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Inspector Elton Evans of Bracknell Police Station issued a strong statement: “We take violence against women and girls extremely seriously. We are committed to preventing harm and bringing offenders to justice.”
He added: “I am pleading with anyone who witnessed these incidents or has any information about them or the suspect to contact us immediately. We believe the same person committed all three assaults and have increased patrols around South Hill Park as a result.”
