Teen Girl Raped Near Dorset Oceanarium: Suspect Arrested
Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) is probing a horrific attack on a 15-year-old girl. The assault happened in the sea near the Oceanarium at around 4pm on Sunday, 18 July 2021.
Suspect in Custody, Then Released on Bail
An 18-year-old man from the West Midlands was arrested on suspicion of rape after a thorough investigation. He has since been released on police bail while inquiries continue.

“We have continued to support the victim and her family throughout this investigation, and they have been updated with this latest development,” said MCIT Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour.
