A man has been charged after an off-duty police officer was stabbed.
A man from Orpington has been charged in connection with the stabbing of an off-duty police officer in Strood.
The assault occurred in the early hours of Monday, July 18, 2022, on Commercial Road. The officer was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries after the incident. He has since been released.
Harvey Smalling, 19, of Eldred Drive, was charged with affray and grievous bodily harm with intent on Friday, July 22, 2022. He’s been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
