Off-Duty Cop Stabbed in Shocking Night-Time Attack
A man has been charged after an off-duty police officer was stabbed in Strood.
Attack on Commercial Road
The brutal assault happened in the early hours of Monday, July 18, 2022, on Commercial Road. The officer was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries but has since been released.
Suspect in Custody
Harvey Smalling, 19, from Eldred Drive, Orpington, was charged on Friday, July 22, with affray and grievous bodily harm with intent. He’s currently remanded in custody.
Smalling is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
