Mobile Snatched During Nuisance Riding
The shocking stunt unfolded in Central Parade around 11am on Saturday 8 July 2023. The rider, spotted causing a scene, even swiped a mobile phone from a bystander trying to film the chaos.
Man Arrested Over Dangerous Antisocial Behaviour
Kent Police launched a swift investigation. By Tuesday 18 July, officers had arrested a 20-year-old man suspected of attempted criminal damage, joyriding, and cannabis possession.
His troubles didn’t end there. The suspect was also cuffed again after damaging a police custody cell.
Following interviews, he was released on bail with strict conditions as inquiries continue.

Inspector Paul Stoner, Canterbury Community Safety Unit, said: “Tackling antisocial behaviour is a top priority in Kent Police’s Safer Summer campaign. Nuisance riding wrecks communities and won’t be tolerated.”
“We act on all reports, with arrests where necessary to protect law-abiding residents.”
