Starting his day in Basingstoke, Mick rolled into Whitchurch, Hampshire this morning. From there, he’s bound for Amesbury, Salisbury, Somerset, and ultimately Land’s End — all in just his Speedos.

Mick got a midday morale boost in Overton when BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell stopped by to send his best wishes for the gruelling journey ahead.
‘Bad Dads Dancing’ Arrest Turns to Support
A quick cuppa invitation took a wild turn when Mick was briefly arrested for “bad dads dancing”! Luckily, Hampshire Roads Policing Unit in Whitchurch saw the funny side and gave him a friendly send-off.

With just £39,000 left to hit his £1 million fundraising goal, Mick’s mission is nothing short of heroic — all while dressed only in his knickers.
Mick Opens Up About His Journey
We caught up with Mick to hear how he’s finding Hampshire…and life in general.
“For a long time, I was the homeless guy outside shops, an addict and alcoholic who’d made so many terrible choices that getting back seemed impossible.
“I made those choices to numb the pain inside. I’d lost contact with my family and community, blamed everyone but myself, and sunk deep into self-destructive habits. I’d lost sight of the loving, caring person I hoped to be.
“My family and friends eventually gave up—not for lack of trying, but because it felt hopeless. The turning point came when I accepted I needed help and found a flicker of hope. Now, I’m striving to be a man my loved ones can be proud of and a positive part of society once more.
“My childhood was full of poor guidance and bad influences, leading to a lifetime of bad decisions that cost me dearly—my home, family, dignity. But I’m fighting back.”
