Tragic Motorcycle Death on A92 Sparks Urgent Police Appeal
Fatal Crash Near Nigg Way
Disaster hit the A92 southbound near Nigg Way on Friday, September 22, when a collision between a grey Nissan Qashqai and a black Honda 900 Fireblade motorcycle turned deadly. The crash happened at 3.40pm.
The 22-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene despite rapid emergency response. His family have been informed of the heartbreaking loss.
Nissan Driver Unharmed but Investigation Underway
The Nissan’s 59-year-old driver was checked by paramedics but did not need hospital treatment. Police closed the A92 temporarily to carry out a full crash investigation.
Police Call for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley, leading the inquiry, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died. Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
He urged anyone who saw the crash or was driving on Anderson Drive in the half hour before the accident to come forward. Dashcam footage could be vital.
“Anyone who has dash-cam footage or information is asked to get in touch with Police Scotland,” Sgt Bowser-Riley added.
