A man has reportedly suffered serious injuries after falling from a bridge near Broadfield shops in Crawley.

Emergency services were called to the area near Broadfield Barton, where the man was found injured on the ground.

An ambulance blocked the road while emergency crews treated him at the scene, with a crowd gathering nearby.

A witness told local community outlet Crawley Talks that the man had allegedly taken MDMA and had been attempting pull-ups on the bridge immediately before falling.

The same witness claimed the man suffered two broken legs and a fractured skull.

It was further reported that he was being taken to a hospital in Brighton for further treatment.

The circumstances of the incident, including the claims concerning drug use and the precise nature of the man’s injuries, have not yet been independently confirmed by emergency services.
