Three Nabbed in Tonbridge Purse Heist Blitz
Three suspects were snapped up just two hours after a purse theft rocked Tonbridge. The drama unfolded at Sainsbury’s on Angel Lane on the morning of Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Shopping Trip Turns Sour
A woman caught shopping at the till realised her purse had vanished from her handbag around 11:20am. The thieves wasted no time. They ran up purchases of cigarettes, booze, and more using her stolen bank cards at petrol stations and shops across the area.
Quick Police Work Leads to Arrests
Police sprang into action and arrested three men—Ion-Adrian Dobrin, 52, from Coventry, who is now under an immigration detention order, plus two others aged 53 and 54 from Wickford, Essex. The men from Essex were later released on bail but banned from entering Kent while the investigation continues.
