Southampton police swooped today to arrest a man already convicted of multiple burglaries. The suspect, spotted breaching his bail conditions in the city, was snapped up within minutes thanks to urgent intelligence.

During the arrest, officers discovered bolt cutters in the man’s belongings – a clear sign he was “going equipped” to commit more burglaries. This has landed him extra charges on top of his bail breach.

The burglar is now behind bars and will remain in custody until his next court date. A Hampshire Police spokesperson said:
