The Met Police have shifted their 999 response team to Plaistow station. Meanwhile, a mobile front counter is up and running at Stratford Police Station to keep serving the public. Detective Superintendent Charles Clare said:
“Since the fire at Forest Gate Police Station, officers and police staff have worked round the clock to maintain full policing across Newham. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the road closures, but safety comes first due to the risk of falling debris.”
