Two Food Delivery Drivers Robbed in Andover – Police Hunt Masked Thieves
Police are on the case after two food delivery drivers were targeted and robbed in Andover in separate late-night attacks.
Knife and Baseball Bat Used in Shocking Attacks
The first incident happened just after 3am on Thursday 12 July at Genoa Court. A 29-year-old delivery driver was confronted by three masked men, one brandishing a knife. They stole cash and a phone before fleeing the scene. Thankfully, the victim wasn’t hurt.
Less than two weeks later, at around 1:15am on Monday 23 July, a 57-year-old delivery driver was approached by four masked men on Launcelot Close. This time, one attacker carried a baseball bat. They made off with cash and a torch, leaving the victim unharmed.
Suspects Description and Police Appeal
The victim from the second robbery gave a description of one suspect: a young man in his early twenties, about 6ft 2ins tall, wearing black shorts and a black hooded top. The gang ran off towards Galahad Close.
Officers are probing whether these two robberies are linked, as both victims were food delivery drivers.
