Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the sheep, some barely managing to keep their heads above the surface. Recognizing the severity of the situation, additional support was requested from a specialist animal rescue team based in Winchester.

Working swiftly and efficiently, the rescue team managed to free all twelve sheep from the perilous mud. After the rescue, the sheep were taken to their barn where they are currently recovering.

This successful operation highlights the challenges and dangers local wildlife can face and the readiness and skill of our emergency response teams in handling animal rescues. The community is relieved and grateful for the safety of the sheep and the professionalism of the first responders.
