Swindon E-Bike Crash Leads to Drug Bust

Wiltshire Police have charged a 25-year-old man with multiple drug offences following a collision involving an electric bike in Swindon on September 12.

The incident happened around 12:30pm on Pembroke Gardens. Jahred Tafari, of Beech Avenue, Pinehurst, was arrested at the scene. Police charged him with possession of a bladed article and intent to supply cocaine and heroin.

Remanded in Custody After Swindon Court Appearance

Tafari appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing.

Police Praise Community Help in the Bust

“This incident involved excellent collaborative work with the community assisting the police, and I want to thank them for that,” said Police Sergeant Deller of the Stratton, Central Swindon North and West policing team. “We always take drugs and weapons offences incredibly seriously, and we encourage anyone with information on these crimes to report it to us.”

The investigation is ongoing as police continue to probe the case.
