Hackney Gangsters Jailed After Shooting at Four-Year-Old
Two men linked to the notorious Manor House gang in Hackney have been locked up for lengthy spells after a high-stakes Met Police investigation. Jordan Shaw, 20, and Joshua Fraser, 19, were caught in a violent spree that saw them spray bullets at innocent civilians, including a four-year-old girl.
Gunmen Open Fire in Wrong Car
During a “ride out” into enemy territory on Shrubland Road, Hackney, Shaw and Fraser mistook a car for a rival gang’s ride. They opened fire – only to find a 13-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl inside. Thankfully, neither child was hurt in the terrifying attack.
- Jordan Shaw: Jailed for 21 years for possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted murder.
- Joshua Fraser: Sentenced to 14 years for possession of firearm and conspiracy to commit murder.
Violent Record and Police Breakthrough
Shaw was also responsible for a separate stabbing incident on Stoke Newington High Street, firing three shots and wounding a victim in the arm. The Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime teams arrested Shaw on May 31 and Fraser on October 4, 2023.
The gun recovered was linked to 11 other shootings in London, marking a sweeping crackdown on firearms crimes.
“We have taken two extremely dangerous men off the streets,” said Detective Chief Inspector Andrea Ireland of Specialist Crime North. “Our work has safeguarded the community and brought justice for victims, including very young children.”
London’s Firearm Crime Under Siege
At Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 3, 2024, justice was served. The Met has seized 386 illegal weapons over the past year, cutting firearms offences in London from 196 to 145 between April 2023 and March 2024.
The force is doubling down on community trust and targeting serious organised crime, vowing to make London safer for all residents.
