Rape Probe Launched After Woman Attacked at Edenbridge Cemetery
Horrific Assault at Night
A woman was reportedly raped while visiting Edenbridge Cemetery off Church Street on the night of Saturday, November 9. The attack happened between 9pm and 9.30pm.
The victim was physically and sexually assaulted by a man described as tall and slim, wearing a coat possibly with a fur hood.
Police Launch Full Investigation
Officers began their inquiry after the incident was reported three days later on Tuesday, November 12. Forensic teams are combing the scene, and detectives are reviewing CCTV footage and conducting house-to-house inquiries in the area.
Motorists driving near Church Street at the time, along with local residents and businesses with doorbell or CCTV cameras, are urged to check their footage for anything suspicious.
