Murder Investigation Launched After Man Fatally Stabbed in Leigh

A murder investigation is underway following the tragic death of 27-year-old Jack O’Brien, who was fatally stabbed on Tuesday night (December 3).

Emergency services were called to the scene in Leigh shortly after reports of a stabbing. Jack was rushed to the hospital but, despite the best efforts of medics, he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Ongoing Investigation

Detectives have launched a murder probe and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Officers have been conducting house-to-house inquiries and reviewing CCTV footage as part of their investigation.

A police spokesperson said:
“This was a shocking act of violence that has resulted in the tragic loss of a young man’s life. We are determined to bring those responsible to justice and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to contact us immediately.”

Community Shock

The local community has been left reeling by the incident, with many expressing their condolences to Jack’s family and calling for those responsible to be held accountable. Floral tributes have been left near the scene, with messages remembering Jack as a kind and vibrant individual.
