Man in Critical Condition After Collapsing on Walworth Road
A man remains in a life-threatening state after being found collapsed early this morning on Walworth Road, Southwark. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene at around 4:30 a.m. on 8 December.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Officers from the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service arrived quickly and discovered the man unconscious. He was immediately taken to hospital, where he is still fighting for his life.
Two Arrested on Suspicion of GBH
Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). Both remain in police custody as detectives carry on with their investigation.
Police Statement
“Police were called at around 4.30am on Sunday, 8 December, to Walworth Road, SE17 following reports of a man collapsed,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.”
“Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH and remain in custody. Enquiries continue by detectives from Central South Command to establish the full circumstances.”
