Two Arrested Over Fatal Hammersmith Hit-and-Run
Tragic Hit-and-Run on Talgarth Road
Two suspects are in custody after a hit-and-run in Hammersmith claimed the life of 58-year-old Ina Rodrigues earlier this year. The shocking incident took place on January 16 when Ina was struck by a moped on Talgarth Road near West Kensington.
The moped fled the scene and was later abandoned. Ina was rushed to hospital but sadly died from her injuries on January 21.
Arrests Made Days Apart
This week, police arrested a man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice. The man was held on Wednesday, December 4, with the woman taken in on Thursday, December 5.
Both have been released on bail ahead of court appearances scheduled for January 2025.
Police Call for Witnesses
“If you witnessed the collision or have any information that could assist this investigation, please contact us,” urged a spokesperson for the Met Police.
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue to appeal for anyone with details to come forward.
