Christopher Wilson, 23, of Templar Drive, SE28, has been convicted of the murder of 18-year-old Kacem Mokrane, who was killed in a brutal gang-related attack in Walthamstow in 2017. Wilson was found guilty at the Old Bailey on Thursday, December 12, following a re-trial.
The sentencing date for Wilson is yet to be confirmed.

A Deadly Feud
Kacem Mokrane lost his life on November 16, 2017, during a violent altercation stemming from an ongoing feud between rival east London gangs. The attack occurred on Mount Pleasant Road, where police were called at approximately 11:15 PM to reports of a group of males armed with knives, machetes, and swords.
Kacem was ambushed and stabbed at least twice before the attackers fled the scene. Despite being rushed to the Royal London Hospital for emergency surgery, Kacem succumbed to his injuries on November 20, 2017.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Kacem died due to multi-organ failure caused by hypovolemic shock and complications arising from a stab wound to the abdomen.
Fifth Conviction in the Case
Wilson is the fifth individual to be convicted of Kacem’s murder. Four others – Hamza Ul-Haq, Luca Griffiths, Abdirisak Ali, and Kamil Kazmierski – were found guilty and jailed in June 2023.
Police Investigation
Detective Inspector Ben Dalloway, from Specialist Crime, described the case as “particularly complex,” involving multiple suspects, crime scenes, and links to other incidents.
“Kacem lost his life in a senseless and brutal attack by individuals who were intent on revenge following an ongoing feud between rival gangs,” Dalloway said.
“This is the second trial Kacem’s family and loved ones have had to endure, and they are very much in my thoughts.
The investigation required meticulous work from the Metropolitan Police, including over 500 hours of CCTV and body-worn video analysis by one officer. This effort helped establish connections between the various crimes and enabled a compelling case to be presented to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Justice for Kacem
This conviction marks another step toward justice for Kacem’s family and sends a strong message about the devastating consequences of gang violence.
The sentencing of Christopher Wilson is expected to provide closure for the family, who have endured years of grief and court proceedings.
