Appeal: Glass Attack in Chichester Wetherspoons

Officers have released further CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an assault that took place at the Dolphin and Anchor Wetherspoons on West Street, Chichester, on the evening of January 18.

At approximately 9.30pm, emergency services were called to the popular city centre pub following reports of a violent altercation. According to police, a man sustained injuries after a glass was smashed over his head during the incident.

Authorities have now issued fresh CCTV images of a man who may have vital information that could assist with their enquiries.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “We are keen to speak with the individual captured in the CCTV images as he may hold key details about the events that unfolded on the night of January 18. We urge anyone who recognises this person or has any relevant information to come forward.”

Members of the public who can help identify the man or provide any additional details are encouraged to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting reference 1188 of 18/1. Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Investigations remain ongoing, and officers continue to appeal for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
