A man has been arrested for possession of a knife after police were called to West Wickham High Street on Wednesday afternoon (February 12) following concerns for his welfare.
At approximately 3:30 PM, officers responded to reports of a male in possession of a knife in the busy shopping area.
Upon arrival, officers quickly located and detained the individual nearby. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
The suspect remains in police custody, and investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
