Man Charged with Bomb Hoax and Gun Offences After Faringdon Siege

 

A man has been charged with multiple offences, including a bomb hoax and gun-related crimes, following a significant police operation in Faringdon.

Incident Details

Armed police and counter-terror officers were deployed to Goodbody Close during an eight-hour siege in the early hours of Thursday, 6 March 2025. The standoff saw a large 999 response, with four Hazardous Area Response Team ambulance crews on standby as the suspect allegedly threatened to harm officers.

Suspect and Charges

Thames Valley Police have now charged 23-year-old Tyler Jay Little, of Reynolds Way, Abingdon, with multiple offences, including:

  • Possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence
  • Communicating a bomb hoax
  • Threats to kill
  • Robbery
  • Theft
  • Breaching police bail

The charges relate to:

  • A robbery in Abingdon in July 2024
  • Thefts in Wantage in February 2025
  • The Faringdon siege on 6 March 2025

Court Appearance

Little is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, 7 March 2025).
