Police Hunt Man Over Fake £2 Coins Scam at Borehamwood Morrisons

Police have released a photo of a man they want to speak to in connection with a fake money scam in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.

Counterfeit Coins Cashed In at Morrisons

The dodgy deal went down around 3:15pm on 30 October 2024 inside the Morrisons supermarket in Borehamwood. Crooks stuffed counterfeit £2 coins into a Coinstar machine, then swapped the fake cash for real money from the shop.

Hertsmere Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers from the Hertsmere intervention team have been probing the incident. They’ve now got CCTV footage of a man who could hold vital clues.
