A 17-year-old boy was rushed to hospital this afternoon after being shot on Penshurst Road, near White Hart Lane in Tottenham. The shocking attack sparked a major police probe and forced road closures in the area.
Emergency Services Swarm Shooting Scene in North London
The London Ambulance Service was called to the scene around 4pm following reports of a suspected shooting in the N17 area. Paramedics treated the teenager at the scene before rushing him to hospital. His current condition remains unknown.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident in a statement:
“Officers were called to a suspected shooting in Penshurst Road, N17 at 16:00hrs on Tuesday, 29 April. A 17-year-old boy was treated at the scene for a gunshot wound and was later taken to hospital. No arrests have been made. The road remains closed while initial enquiries take place.”

Penshurst Road is closed both ways between Pretoria Road and High Road. Multiple police units and forensic teams are combing the scene. The closure is expected to last for several hours while investigations are underway.
