Third Man Arrested in Met Police Probe into Arson Attacks Linked to Keir Starmer
Another Arrest Rocks Arson Investigation
A third man has been arrested in connection with a string of arson attacks targeting properties and a vehicle reportedly tied to Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer. The 34-year-old was detained in Chelsea on Monday, 19 May 2025, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
This latest arrest follows a 26-year-old man taken into custody at Luton Airport just days earlier under the same suspicion.
Series of Dangerous Fires Under Investigation
The police probe focuses on three separate arson incidents involving fires at two homes and a car. These attacks have been described as potentially life-threatening, raising serious safety concerns in affected communities.
Ukrainian Man Already Facing Charges
Roman Lavrynovych, a 21-year-old Ukrainian national from Sydenham, southeast London, has already been charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life. He appeared in court last Friday, denying the charges during police interviews. Lavrynovych remains in custody ahead of a hearing at the Old Bailey scheduled for 6 June.
While police have yet to disclose the exact nature of any connection between these incidents and Sir Keir Starmer, authorities are treating the matter with the utmost seriousness.
Investigation Continues – Police Appeal for Information
The Metropolitan Police have stated the investigation is still active, and further arrests are possible. Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to piece together the full story behind these alarming arson attacks.
So far, Sir Keir Starmer has declined to comment publicly on the developments.
