Man Hospitalised After Medical Emergency Causes Crash Near Edgware Road Station

A man has been taken to hospital following a crash on the Marylebone Flyover near Edgware Road Station, after reportedly suffering a medical emergency behind the wheel.

The incident occurred just before 1:15pm on Tuesday, 4 June 2025, prompting a large emergency response involving London Ambulance Service, Metropolitan Police, and London’s Air Ambulance.

Emergency services arrived at the scene on Harrow Road, where they treated the injured man before transporting him to a major trauma centre.


Medical Emergency Preceded the Collision

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed that the driver experienced a medical episode in his car, which is believed to have led to the collision. Details of any other vehicles involved have not been disclosed.

The man’s current condition remains unknown, and no arrests have been made.

“We were called at 1.13pm yesterday (4 June) to reports of a road traffic collision on Marylebone Flyover, W2.
We sent a number of resources to the scene including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer, and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team.
We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road as a priority.”
