Man rushed to hospital after medical emergency triggers crash on Marylebone Flyover
A man was taken to hospital following a dramatic crash on the Marylebone Flyover, close to Edgware Road Station. The collision happened after the driver reportedly suffered a sudden medical emergency behind the wheel.
The crash occurred just before 1:15pm on Tuesday, 4 June 2025. Emergency crews from the London Ambulance Service, Metropolitan Police, and London’s Air Ambulance were swiftly on the scene.
Emergency teams treated the injured man on Harrow Road before rushing him to a major trauma centre for urgent care.
Driver’s Medical Episode Linked to Crash
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the driver had a medical episode while driving, which is believed to have caused the collision. Authorities have not disclosed if any other vehicles were involved.
The man’s current condition remains unknown. No arrests have been made.

“We were called at 1.13pm yesterday (4 June) to reports of a road traffic collision on Marylebone Flyover, W2. We sent ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer, and our Hazardous Area Response Team. London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched. We treated a patient at the scene and transferred him by road to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
