The Met Police are scrambling after a spate of five savage stabbing attacks hit London on July 27 and 29. Three people were killed and multiple others rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Bermondsey Horror: Father and Son Slain at Work
Tragedy struck on July 28 when Brendan McMillan, 27, and his dad Terry McMillan, 58, were fatally stabbed at their business on Long Lane, Bermondsey. Police arrived around 1pm to find four victims with knife wounds. Terry was declared dead at the scene, and Brendan later died in hospital.
A third man remains critically ill in hospital. A 31-year-old British suspect was arrested the same day but is currently hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detective Chief Superintendent Emma Bond said: “Our investigation continues at pace and we are working hard to understand the full circumstances. I would also encourage anyone who may be worried to speak to an officer.”
Crime scenes are still in place at both the business and a nearby hotel linked to the suspect.
Welling: Teen Stabbed Behind Co-op
Later that day in Welling, a 15-year-old boy was viciously stabbed in an alley behind a Co-op. The young victim is currently receiving treatment.
