Perp Arrested After Knife Incident
A Sussex Police spokesperson confirmed the situation was contained with no threat to the public. They thanked locals for staying clear and apologised for the disruption caused by the man involved.
The drama ended around 1.20am when officers arrested a 45-year-old Chichester man on suspicion of affray and possession of a knife in a public place. He was checked by health professionals before being taken into custody, where he remained as of 8:50am Friday.
