Todd Hamilton-Forbes Locked Up for Stalking and Knife Threat
Todd Hamilton-Forbes, 43, has been sentenced to a year in prison after admitting to controlling and coercive behaviour against his ex-partner. Alongside jail time, he’s slapped with a five-year restraining order to keep him well away from the victim.
Knife Threat Sparks Police Raid
The nightmare escalated on 7 August 2025 when Hamilton-Forbes rocked up at his ex’s home brandishing a knife. Police were called immediately. During their probe, the victim revealed eight months of harrowing abuse and intimidation.
Obsessive Stalking: 107 Calls in Five Days
The abuse wasn’t just violent threats. Hamilton-Forbes stalked his ex relentlessly, forcing her to report every movement and bombarding her with 107 calls in just five days. Previous restraining orders had expired, letting the twisted harassment drag on.
Police Praise Brave Victim, Urge Others to Speak Out
“I would like to recognise the victim-survivor’s strength in coming forward and disclosing Hamilton-Forbes’ history and behaviour to our officers when she made that call on 7 August,” said PC Savage from the Eastern Domestic Abuse Team.
“Controlling and coercive behaviour is used to exert power and control over another person’s daily life. It often involves tactics like isolation and intimidation and can have a significant impact on a victim-survivor’s physical and mental wellbeing.
“I would urge anyone who recognises some of these patterns to report it to police. You will be supported and listened to from the start.”
