A brutal abuser who strangled and repeatedly headbutted his ex has been thrown behind bars.
Repeated Violence in Short-Lived Relationship
Matthew Bradley, 41, unleashed a terrifying spree of violence over a seven-week relationship from September to October 2025. He punched and headbutted his victim multiple times and strangled her in a chilling attack.
- He barred her from returning home
- Stalked her by lurking outside her address
Courts Tried to Stop Him, But He Ignored Orders
Bradley was slapped with a Domestic Violence Protection Order on 15 October, banning him from contacting or returning to the victim’s home. But he brazenly flouted the order, continuing his harassment.
A third-party witness alerted Nottinghamshire Police, which led to his re-arrest.
Four Years Inside and Ten Years Restraining Order
Initially pleading not guilty, Bradley later admitted to controlling, coercive behaviour, intentional suffocation, assault causing actual bodily harm, and multiple assaults by beating.
