A Poole man has been jailed for more than four years after police discovered two kilogram blocks of cocaine during a vehicle stop.

Jake Musselwhite, 36, of Poole, was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday, August 21, to four years and two months in prison after admitting possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Officers stopped a blue Ford Fiesta in the Longfleet Road area of Poole at around 2.15pm on Thursday, April 16, following reports that the vehicle was involved in suspicious activity.

Musselwhite was sitting in the back of the car and was found in possession of a brown paper bag.

When officers examined the bag, they discovered two separate one-kilogram blocks of cocaine.

Further searches of Musselwhite and the vehicle uncovered additional small bags of cocaine along with £1,570 in cash.

Police estimated the drugs had a minimum street value of £120,000.

Musselwhite was arrested and subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He pleaded guilty before being sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Detective Constable Liam Moss, of Dorset Police, said:

“This is another example of our officers disrupting the activities of those involved in the suspected supply of illegal drugs.

“We hope this case demonstrates we will pursue offenders relentlessly and take robust action against anyone seeking to bring harm to our communities.”
