Man Fatally Stabbed on Newcastle Street
Just after 6am yesterday, police rushed to a Dilston Road address following reports of a man seriously injured.
Tragic Death Sparks Murder Probe
Emergency services discovered a 49-year-old man, Beimnet Gebreab, suffering wounds from a bladed weapon. Despite frantic medical efforts, he died at the scene.
“Serious injuries consistent with a bladed article were found,” police confirmed.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
A 38-year-old local man, Yasim Ismael, has been arrested and charged with Beimnet’s murder. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before magistrates tomorrow.
