Tragic Hit-and-Run Shakes Kingsbury

Emergency services rushed to Kingsbury Road in the early hours of Thursday, November 7, after a woman in her 60s was struck by a car that fled the scene. Paramedics fought to save her life, but she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. Her family have now been informed.

Police Chase May Be Connected

Shortly after the fatal crash, officers in nearby Colindale tried to stop a vehicle at around 12:28 a.m. The driver sped off, sparking a police chase. The pursuit ended in NW9 on Lanacre Avenue, where one occupant abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Police are hunting this individual and investigating whether the car involved was the same one that hit the woman.

Investigation Underway – Public Help Sought

Detectives have launched a full investigation and set up a crime scene on Kingsbury Road. They are urging anyone with dashcam footage or information about the driver to come forward immediately.

“Detectives are investigating a fatal collision at Kingsbury Road, NW9. Despite medics’ efforts, the female pedestrian sadly died at the scene. The driver failed to stop,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed.
