A family had to be cut free from their red Kia after it was involved in a three vehicle collision on the M27 this morning. Fire crews from Fareham were mobilised and used cutting equipment to free those trapped on the m27 westbound on Hamble bridge.
The three vehicle crash, happened between junctions 8 and 9 for Whiteley westbound on the M27 it is thought that black ice may be the cause the collision. The incident happened just after 7am.
Traffic was gridlock for a time whilst emergency crews dealt with the incident. All three vehicles have since been recovered and all lanes of the M27 have since been reopened following a clean up operation by Highways England
