Detective Sergeant Gareth Greenwood, 42, who works in Bradford district, was found guilty at trial of two counts of common assault. The offences were committed whilst off duty against one victim in Baildon on 29 April, 2022. At the time of the offences DS Greenwood was a temporary Detective Inspector.

At 2.48am this morning, police received reports of a disturbance at a house in Salisbury Grove, Armley, where a party involving a large number of people had been taking place. A further call was received from the ambulance service who were responding to a male reported to have been stabbed at the address.
