Ross Komoroczky, 37, from Armley, was locked up today at Leeds Crown Court. He admitted to a vicious section 18 wounding with intent charge from a shocking attack last July.
Shock Weapon Attack in Leeds Home
The court heard how Komoroczky assaulted his female victim with a bottle, then smashed the neck to slash her with the jagged glass. He also kicked her, leaving her with serious injuries.
Justice Served: Years Behind Bars and Licence
Komoroczky was sentenced to four years and ten months in prison. After release, he must serve a further three years on licence.
Police Warn Violence Against Women is Top Priority
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Cox of the Leeds District Safeguarding Unit said: “Komoroczky has been jailed today for what was a dreadful assault with a weapon on a female victim which left her significant injuries.
“Given the manner of his assault the consequences could easily have been worse.
“All offences involving violence against women are treated as priority offences by West Yorkshire Police as part of our wider strategy to reduce violence towards women and girls in West Yorkshire.”
