Blaze Breaks Out at South London Prison

Firefighters are still battling a blaze at HMYOI Feltham in South London after flames erupted in a prison cell.

Firefighters Rush to Scene

The London Fire Brigade was called to the juvenile prison just after 1.50pm on Monday. Crews were quickly dispatched to tackle the fire reportedly breaking out in one of the prison’s cell blocks.

Prisoners Trapped in Burning Cell

Reports suggest that people were inside the cell when the fire started, raising serious safety concerns. A prison service source confirmed:

“Fire crews and paramedics have been called to the prison due to a fire on one of the prison spurs.”

The Ministry of Justice has been contacted for further comment as emergency services remain on site.
