Tragedy on Birmingham Streets: Pedestrian Killed in Morning Crash

West Midlands Police are probing a fatal collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian this morning.

Horror Near Pedestrian Crossing

At around 9.10am on 19 November, emergency services were called to the junction of Rupert Street and Nechells Parkway, Birmingham. A 46-year-old man was hit by a car while crossing near a pedestrian crossing. Paramedics treated him at the scene but sadly, he was pronounced dead.

Driver Questioned, Investigation Underway

The driver, a man in his 40s, has since spoken with police. Forensic teams and officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit remain at the scene, working to piece together what happened.

Witnesses Urged to Come Forward

The victim’s family have been informed, with police offering their condolences at this grim time. Witnesses who saw the crash or have dash cam footage are urged to contact the police immediately.
