Man Attacked in Eastbourne Park Yard – Bystanders Step In

At around 6.15pm on Friday 20 January, a man was walking along Borough Lane near Gildredge Park, Eastbourne, when two men approached him.

Suspect Demands Cash and Launches Assault

One assailant demanded money before assaulting the victim. Just as things looked grim, a group of men burst out of the nearby park and stepped in, forcing the attackers to back off. The victim managed to flee unharmed—and crucially, nothing was stolen.

Two Suspects Spotted – Police Seek Witnesses

  • Suspect One: Tall, slim, about 19 years old. Curly dark fringe falling just above his eyebrow. Wearing a light hoodie under a black jacket (hood up), dark trousers or jeans, and white trainers.
  • Suspect Two: Similar height and build, dressed all in dark clothes with hood up.

The identities of the Good Samaritans who intervened remain unknown.
